The US Federal Courthouse in Hammond accommodates seven new courtrooms and chambers, including the US District Court, Bankruptcy Court, Probation and Pretrial Services, US Marshal Service, US Attorney, and US Senate and House of Representatives offices. With its grand, glass clad entrance, the new courthouse is one of Hammond’s civic landmarks. Such a bold statement announces the public nature of the building and symbolizes the transparency of the judicial process.
