The Basilica was started in the Spring of 1870 and preservation of this historic and beautiful church is very important to Notre Dame as well as the community. 

Gibson-Lewis was entrusted to construct temporary wooden walkways, ladders and platforms for all of the can lights to be retrofitted to LED. We were then asked to remove all plywood and replace with lightweight aluminum grating for a permananent solution to allow maintenance access in the future.
